ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY
Aneeway Jones was born in Lile (France) in 1984 and lives in Grenoble. He joined the Hip Hop movement very early and started writing lyrics and rapping in 1996. His first time on scene was the first part of MPC in 2002, he then stopped writing to focus on the musical production only. He produced his first track for Emcee Amine (an American artist from Boston) in 2006 and dropped his first solo instrumental “Smokeen’ On The Moon, vol.1” in 2008.
He will release about 20 instrumentals in 2015 using a different concept on every album, such as the use of samples from Indian music or from doo-woop etc.. He also produced 10 albums for different artistes such as Unknown Mizery, Ali The Son of Abdul, Hobo Banditos et Illskilled (Toronto), Hastyle The Barber-Artist (New York) ou encore Sapeur (France).
International artist, Aneeway Jones participates in the production and conception of more than 50 different projects for artists from different origins (Grece, South Africa/Swaziland, Canada, USA, Germany, Chili, UK, France etc..), he is also doing a weekly show on FM 101.2 (Grenoble) radio and composed and produced two jingles for the famous French TV channel, Canal+.
In 2010, back from Brooklyn (New York) he creates the group Allies Crew with L.I.F.E. Long (New York) and
Iomos Marad (Chicago), they will release their first mixtape in 2010 and their album is right now in progress!
In 2002, Aneeway Jones drops a compilation of 23 tracks (including 20 different artists) with the New-York label Cocoon Movements.
In 2013, his album with Hastyle The Barber-Artist (New York) comes out. In February 2013, he write the novel “Poussiere d’ange” (Angel Dust literally translated) for the poetic magazine Cristal Lyrics and collaborates on two albums for Béo from Grenoble (France). He also produces some tracks for Petzl (a company for climbing and mountaineering material well known in the Rhône-Alpes department of France).
To date his biggest success is the album «Empty Handed Warrior» with Unknown Mizery released with the label Mutescream Mentaltainment in 2010. Album that stayed number One on the Canadian Hip Hop charts during many months.
In September 2014, Aneeway Jones is elected within 10 “Discovery” artists by a jury made of the magazine KR-Home Studio, The Express, the Sacem, the Hard Rock Café and the brand of instruments Fender. A CD compilation was also produced and released for the event.
In 2015, he produced 3 tracks on an album paying homage to Sean Price (deceased during the month of August of the same year).
In April 2016 the single “La Nuit”, a collaboration with the emcees Smoovth from New-York and the legendary French emcee from the group IAM, Akhenaton.
Also dropping on July 2016 the album Habitus & Aneeway Jones “un viaje al alterego”, Habitus is a Spanish emcee living in Bristol, UK.
In September 2016 the album “The Golden Ration” – Aneeway Jones & Auriel Greatness – on Hell Razah’s (Sunz Of Man/Wu-Tang Clan) label, with an appeareance from iNTeLL (U-Gods Son).
Being also an “entrepreneur” Aneeway Jones is in charge of the interests of Prodigal Sunn (Sunz of Man / Wu-Tang Clan) in France and Europe.
FRENCH BIOGRAPHY
ANEEWAY JONES, né à Lille en 1984 et aujourd’hui domicilié à Grenoble, est arrivé dans le monde du
hip-hop très jeune et commence à écrire des lyrics et à rapper en 1996. Il se produit sur scène pour la première
fois en 2000. Par la suite, lassé d’enregistrer sur les productions des autres, et passionné de crate digging, il
achète sa première MPC en 2002 et arrête l’écriture pour se consacrer uniquement à la production musicale.
Il produit son premier morceau pour Emcee Anime (un artiste américain originaire de Boston) en 2006 et sort
son premier album instrumental, «smokeen’ on the moon, vol. 1», en 2008.
Il en sortira une vingtaine jusqu’en 2015 en exploitant un concept différent par album, comme l’utilisation
unique de samples de musique indienne, ou de samples de doo-wop etc. Il produit également une dizaine d’albums pour différents artistes comme Unknown Mizery, Ali The Son of Abdul, Hobo Banditos et Illskilled (Toronto), Hastyle The Barber-Artist (New York) ou encore Sapeur (France).
Artiste international, Aneeway Jones participe à la production et conception de plus de cinquante projets
différents pour des artistes d’origines variées (Grêce, Afrique du Sud/Swaziland, Canada, USA, Allemagne, Chili,
Angleterre, France etc), anime une émission hebdomadaire sur News FM 101.2 (Grenoble) et a composé et
produit deux génériques pour la chaine de télévision Canal Plus.
En 2010, de retour de Brooklyn, New York, il forme le groupe Allies Crew avec L.I.F.E. Long (New York) et
Iomos Marad (Chicago). Ils sortent leur première mixtape en 2010 et leur album est en cours de préparation.
Aneeway Jones sort en 2012 sur le label new-yorkais Cocoon Movements une compilation de 23 titres ou sont
présents plus d’une vingtaine d’artistes différents.
Il sort en 2013 son album avec Hastyle The Barber-Artist (New York). En février 2013, il écrit la nouvelle
«poussière d’ange» pour le magazine poétique Cristal Lyrics et collabore aux deux albums des grenoblois Béo. Il produit également des morceaux pour Petzl, une société de matériel d’escalade et d’alpinisme bien connue dans la région Rhône-Alpes.
Son plus gros succès à ce jour est l’album «Empty Handed Warrior» qu’il sort avec Unknown Mizery sur le label Mutescream Mentaltainment en 2010 et qui restera numéro un des charts radio hip-hop au Canada pendant plusieurs mois consécutifs.
En septembre 2014, Aneeway Jones est élu parmi les 10 artistes «découvertes» par un jury composé des magazines
KR-Home Studio, L’Express, la Sacem, le Hard Rock Café et la marque d’instruments Fender. Une compilation CD sera produite et distribuée à cette occasion.
En 2015, il produit trois morceaux dans l’album hommage à Sean Price, décédé au mois d’août de cette année-là. Le single “la nuit” avec Akhenaton et le new-yorkais SmooVth est sorti le 11 avril 2016.
Sort également le 4 juillet 2016 l’album Habitus & Aneeway Jones “un viaje al alterego”, Habitus est un emcee espagnol des îles Canaries, exilé à Bristol, UK.
L’album Auriel Greatness & Aneeway Jones “the golden ration” sort le 9 septembre 2016 sur le label de Hell Razah (Sunz of Man / Wu-Tang Clan), il contient une apparition de Intell, le fils de U-God.
Egalement, entrepreneur, Aneeway Jones gère les intérêts de Prodigal Sunn (Sunz of Man / Wu-Tang Clan) en France et Europe.
